Guests can serve themselves and the punch can taste just like that great standby - Hawaiian Punch®. This wonderful punch recipe was discovered by my husband, Bob, while in the Philippines. A lot of sailors and marines came back to the U.S.A. craving the sweet taste of Philippine Mojo Punch. Austinites are fond of both parties and party drinks too. After researching the drink recipe on the web, I found two variations of this same punch, but Bob says his is the real deal. It was given to him by a Philippine bartender that he got to know well. This hub will cover Bob's recipe and the two variations I found during my research. Since Bob also created another great party recipe, I'll add that also. You can use it for your guests that like blended drinks that taste like malted milk shakes, or ice cream blended drinks. These are quite popular lately and go down well in the the hot Texas summers. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until creamy. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It's a party drink, it's a dessert drink! You can substitute chocolate ice cream for the vanilla and make a chocolate milk shake mudslide. If you blend the ice cream into the blender with the other ingredients, you will have what looks like a milk shake. Once again, do not allow children to think that these are regular milk shakes. Don't let your guests drive home while under the influence. Take away the keys! |
